Artist Of The Month April 2018 "Trent Bell"

For Trent Bell, life has been a training ground for his long life passion for music. Many moments in his life have contributed to making it a reality, and nothing will stop him in his tracks. From a young age he imagined the stage and in front of him and an audience who loved what he did. Nothing beats the feeling that takes over him when he gets behind a microphone, to perform and entertain.

From the moment Trent left school he was part of a rock band called "The Merchant". Between the years of 2001 - 2010 the group had opened for bands such as Grinspoon, Thirsty Merc, Taxiride and the vocal powerhouse Jimmy Barnes. They also had two songs reach the Top 40 on Triple J's Unearthed.

In 2011, Trent auditioned for XFactor Australia, making it into Guy Sebastian's Top 6 of the "Under 25 Boys" category, and was fortunate enough to fly to New York to be mentored by not only Guy, but also the one and only Beyonce Knowles; a moment in Trent's life that he will never forget! Just missing out on the live shows, Trent Didn't stop there. In 2012 he re-auditioned. Through the process Ronan Keating, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Guy Sebastian and Mel B had thrown Trent into what was known to be Australia's Super Group, "The Collective". Making it into the Top 12 and taking out Third Place in the series.

From 2012 - (early) 2015, "The Collective" were signed to Sony Music Australia, achieving Number 6 on the ARIA Singles Chart and hitting Gold in Sales with their debut single "Surrender". The group's self titled album, which was also released in 2012, debuted at Number 11 on the ARIA Album Charts. Being a part of "The Collective" shared so many experiences along the way. Performing alongside artists such as The Veronicas, Owl City, Boys II Men, Justice Crew, Jessica Mauboy and Rita Ora. Hosting a couple of weeks on Sydney's Nova FM, the boys were privileged to interview The Madden Brothers, Tinie Tempah, Hilary Duff, Stan Walker and Kim Cesarion.

Over the years "The Collective" have had the honour of performing hundreds of gigs all over the country; crowds of thousands and multiple live television appearances. "Every gig counts and every performance is your best work. Treat it like your last" Trent always says, "Enjoy the moment and love every second of it".

In 2016, Trent embarked on his solo career, having spent time in Melbourne and Sydney writing and recording his E.P "Hold On", which was released in April 2017. Trent's latest music is all about the fight, making every step count and never backing down! No matter if it's life, friendships or a relationship, everything is worth putting all you've got into it! Once you hear it you'll want to put it on repeat!

Trent has recently come to the end of his "Hold On" Australia Tour. Twenty shows within a short space of time and performing before thousands of people around the country really shows how much drive and ambition he has. In between all of the fame and original music, he always finds himself performing at corporate events, weddings and private functions around the world. This is his passion and he will always put on a top quality show.

2018 is shaping up to be another exciting year for Trent and his fans, including the recent release of his latest single "Gravity". There's plenty more big announcements to be revealed shortly; you'll want to stay tuned for what's next!...
